My nephew is being deployed

Next Tuesday to go to Latvia as part of Operation Reassurance where the Canadian armed forces contributes to NATO deterrence and defence measures

He’ll be completely safe but this is the first time anyone in our family has ever been deployed in the army so it’s a a new experience for us

He will be fine, and when he comes back home his mind and horizons will be enlighten from what he sees and learns country and culture wise as well.

@Thrust @Yulianna Umm I spent 27 years in the US Army all over Asia and the Middle East. There are definitely differences in Cultures and some live more primitively than we do in America but let me tell you they all had better family values ties and respect than the disposable American way of life especially with elderly parents.

I learned a lot and kept those experiences as a better way for this American Soldier to live his life out.
