Aslong as they carry on what they're doing, we're fine.

@4meAndyou
And they think they will make up the shortfall by recruiting more transgenders...? 🤔
Good luck with that... 🙄

@Thinkerbell I know you're deep into this debate but I have to say.... All the trans people I've seen on TV have been very nice and very balanced. I don't want to offend you, just saying.

@Matt85 @Thinkerbell Matt is quite right...trans people are usually quite nice people.
However, what the Navy fails to realize is that most STRAIGHT young men will find this advertisement slightly repellant, and won't want to associate themselves with what they will begin to perceive as a military organization filled with gay or drag or otherwise non straight people.
Being confined on board a navy vessel with such people would be similar to young girls being forced to share bathrooms with biological men. In other words, they wouldn't want to drop the soap in the shower...
I heard on the news the other day that the young men who might JOIN the several branches of the military WANT to join a service in which they feel they will be defending our nation and doing a great and GOOD service for their families and their nation. They are willing to risk their LIVES to this end.
They are NOT willing to join the military only to find themselves forced to sit through endless indoctrination classes aimed at force feeding them DEI, CRT and GENDER studies.

It has nothing to do with how "nice and balanced" trans people may be.
It has to do with numbers.
"New study estimates 1.6 million in U.S. identify as transgender"
https://www.reuters.com/world/us/new-study-estimates-16-million-us-identify-transgender-2022-06-10/
That's about .5% of the U.S. population.
The Navy has about a 16% shortfall in recruitment.
The .5% is NOT going to make up for that.
