If recent reports are to be believed the RAF are now stopping white males from signing up , so they can increase the number of women and ethnic minorities.
Have you ever heard anything more stupid in your life?
IF it's true.
We no longer want white British men in the Royal Air Force.

@LizOwen The news article is incorrect. Royal Air Force has a quota it needs to fill and while it has been stated it’s desirable to have ethnically diverse personnel, the process is based on aptitude rather than race.

That said if you do want something to discuss theres currently a fiasco going on in the RAF for its inability to process fast jet trainees - to the point of a national shortage.

@LizOwen There is never a point in time when there isn’t some sort of challenge or the media are stirring up scandals.

I served from the 90s to the 2010s and I’ve lost track of all the little stories that looked like breaking the RAF only to become nothing. Budget issues, cancelled defence projects, mothballing aircraft with out a replacement. It’s the on going challenge of providing security to a populace that resents having to pay for it.

@LizOwen One resigned. And word on the inside has it she was in trouble anyway so she’s lashed out at the service on her way out the door, but told the press this is her reason for resigning. Just a bit of malice from an officer who jumped before she was pushed.
