Interview for the new position next Wednesday

I was talking about my upcoming interview to a friend in the cafeteria, and my VSS (Vocational Support Specialist- kind of like a career guidance counselor) overheard me.

She asked what I am interviewing for, and once I told her, she got closer to me and said, "That means something if they want to talk to you- they don't just pick *anybody*." Then she asked if I wanted to do a mock interview with her on Friday, just to prepare, and I definitely said yes. Anything to help!

I really want this position. If I get it, it will mean a raise and more importantly, way less time on the phones. This past year has been pushing me to the limits as far as mental stress goes. I can't do 8 hrs of nonstop phone calls much longer, so I PRAY I am hired for this position. 🙏🏻

I hope you get it!

--------
We all just moved to a new office building. It is an older building but renovated inside. All new equipment except for our laptops.

None of us have a phone at our desk. In the old office we all did, but not now.

If you want to communicate within the office, you have to visit in person, call them on MS Teams, or send an e-mail.

We do have one landline in each room, though, for emergencies. And all meeting rooms are set up for video calls, too. Of course, everybody these days has their own cell phone. I cannot even log into some work systems without it, because some require two-factor authentication. They will text me a code to type in.

Fortunately I almost never deal with the public, and if I do, it had been filtered through others and is usually via e-mail. Sometimes we send people information and I am the contact. Yet now it will all have to be e-mail since I have no work phone number.

MS Teams allows outside calls, if you buy a license. We do not have any.
