Many white collar jobs will be eliminated by AI.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@JonLosAngeles66 Which defeats what I thought was the original purpose. I thought AI was supposed to be doing all the low-level jobs so we could sit around doing art, not the other way around.
JonLosAngeles66 · M
@LordShadowfire it will make administration low level and manual skilled jobs in demand.
@LordShadowfire No the original purpose was to make more money and eliminate the human elements that slow things down ...
AI doesn't need time off, bathroom breaks or sleep

@sstronaut how does it fix a roof? Suss out issues in an old house? Install solar panels, install electrical boxes, etc. fix a car. Pick delicate produce without damaging it
@JonLosAngeles66 Why are you asking me? I never spoke of that. Seems like you changed the topic
JonLosAngeles66 · M
@sstronaut I was supporting my original prediction that you guys responded to. I didn't change anything.
@JonLosAngeles66 Actually, I responded to the other person, which is why they were tagged and you were not.
Also, your original position was about white collar jobs. And then you asked my about blue collar jobs out of no where, so it clearly was a change.
I agree with what you have said and your points though, and think you are absolutely correct.

@sstronaut So what I'm hearing you say is that I was lied to about the purpose of ai.
I'm not saying you're wrong.
I'm not saying you're wrong.
@LordShadowfire If someone told you the purpose of AI was to let you sit around and do art, then either someone had no clue what they were talking about or they absolutely lied to you, yes.
Business works on money... not helping people... unless helping people gets them more money.
Note: Red Cross supposedly helps people, but what they actually is make the senior employees extremely rich as they don't give blood away, they collect it for free and then put it up for auction and sell it to the highest bidder.
Money makes the world go around.

@sstronaut the Red Cross info seems off to me. https://www.cnbc.com/2023/11/26/why-the-american-red-cross-makes-money-from-donated-blood-.html

@sstronaut Yeah, that's what I mean. And I definitely should have known better.
@JonLosAngeles66

Chris Hrouda (President, Biomedical Services): $728,500
Shaun Gilmore (Chief Transformation Officer): $650,824

@sstronaut nothing about auctions
@JonLosAngeles66 The auctions are just a normal standards business practice. I don't think I should have to prove that, because that's smart business by them... and it can be standard in certain medical situations.
On certain ideas, a lot of hospitals in certain areas would have to compete and/or bid on certain items.
The wrong part is that they pretend they're mainly about helping people, when really they're about making their top employees more money.

@sstronaut I don't agree.
@JonLosAngeles66 I don't ask anyone to agree nor disagree 🤷
