@XDHyperGirlXD1 I work hard, do what it takes to get my job done, and I'm a team player.

@XDHyperGirlXD1 Well, I was responding to what you wrote as a balance to the idea that all workers are being used, abused, and taken for granted with my own experience. No one takes advantage of me. It just doesn't happen. 🤑

@MarkPaul plot twist your the manager doing all these unlawful advantages used etc just kidding

@XDHyperGirlXD1 Well, one day maybe.
@XDHyperGirlXD1 I blame that more on activists pushing for higher wages, an employer can only afford to pay employers without raising the prices of their own goods and services, which often costs the loss of patronage to those businesses. Numerous restaurants, stores, and other small businesses were forced to shut down in California and Washington state on the west coast when both states raised wages past $15 an hour, they were losing too much money to paying employees wages they could not afford to pay.
@MarkPaul As a former manager in both food service and retail, my experiences were that those that complained the loudest about working condition and wages were the laziest ones in the crew.
@XDHyperGirlXD1 When I managed stores and restaurants I did my best to be fair and balanced, I expected each of my employees to do their jobs they were assigned to.

@NativePortlander1970 While anecdotal, I think that is largely true. Of course, there are exceptions and sometimes complaints are reasonable. I find that when presented in a productive way though, most managers are open to hearing complaints and considering alternatives and solutions. Many times, it's a matter of how those complaints are communicated. Likewise, there sometimes are managers who are simply not open to any challenges to the status quo which creates workplace conflict.
