You may have been on the front end of the interview process. I know when I was interviewing to fill a position it would take several weeks to get through all the applicants. The managers interviewing still have their jobs to accomplish themselves. Three or four days is a long time to you. But not to the process. Exercise patience. If you followup with them continually, it may show a lack of ability to follow instructions. I know it would irritate me and you would have to stand head and shoulders above other applicants for me to provide a job offer.

I hate those shallow answers, damn it be straight forward and do not lie about a follow up call that is not ever coming.

It may take them a little time to get back with you.
Don't give up hope.
