I refused to get jabbed and my workplace never dared to try and force all staff to get jabbed. I worked continually through all the lockdowns (1.0 in 2020 and 2.0 and 2.1 in 2021) as my job as a freight train driver is considered 'essential'.
However two major Australian volunteer emergency service agencies here in NSW did - The SES on Dec 15 2021 and the RFS on Jul 1 2022. Both enacted Vid vax mandates. The SES forcibly terminated the volunteer service of all refuseniks (1 month before the very major Lismore flooding event of Jan this year).
The RFS isn't game to do that and has threatened to (but not yet) change all Vid vax refuseniks membership status from 'operational' to 'reserve' and then expect us all to say yes if/when the service gets desperate and wants to call out non-vaxed volunteers ad-hoc.
But during the Jan and June major flooding events (before mandate was enforced) the RFS refused to allow any non-vaxed volunteers to participate in the flooding response efforts alongside the SES, Australian army, police, etc..
I've been a volunteer in the RFS for 21 years but now I'm barred from all participation as I'm a Vid vax refusenik. Not my problem anymore. I consider my service rendered worthless and unrecognised.
