Would you like to live like a rockstar?

The fame, money, parties, groupies, travel, recording sessions etc. and all the trials and tribulations that come with it.

As much as I love music and as broke as I am, I don't think I could for any length of time.

We all secretly want to be big rockstars though, don't we? Live in hilltop houses, driving 15 cars. The girls come easy, and the drugs come cheap. We'd all stay skinny 'cos we just won't eat.
ClassicRocker · 56-60, M
@SW-User Haha, where have I heard that before 🤔
jackson55 · M
Fame is not the fun you think it might be.
jackson55 · M
@ClassicRocker Yep, sounds like you had a taste of it too?
ClassicRocker · 56-60, M
@jackson55 Actually I haven't but I have read a bunch about how fame changes people sometimes...for the worse unfortunately.
jackson55 · M
@ClassicRocker Many times it does. I was in the music business for 25 years. With fame sometimes comes alittle money. The money buys drugs. Or the flamboyant lifestyle. I’ve seen it from the inside.
I would get bored singing songs over and over again, I mean the same songs
It would drive me nuts
ClassicRocker · 56-60, M
@MeLielie I understand completely.
SW-User
No I think it would be too much for me. Would not handle the party scene
ClassicRocker · 56-60, M
@SW-User Same here. Just not into it at all.
SW-User
I think I'd burn out, but I love doing covers
ClassicRocker · 56-60, M
@SW-User I understand, it's not a lifestyle I could handle, especially now. 🙂

They sell their souls to Luciferian globalists, no thanks.

"To sell your soul is the easiest thing in the world. That’s what everybody does every hour of his life. If I asked you to keep your soul – would you understand why that’s much harder?"

The closest I get to that is being a mom. A crowd of tiny, devoted groupies calling my name all day long and sometimes all night. 😌
Someone else can have the rest.
ClassicRocker · 56-60, M
@QueenOfTheNerds that is wonderful and I agree with you. I have a feeling you are a terrific mom 🙂

Which rock star?

If I were less lazy I'd love to live like Robert Fripp.

Watch some of the Toyah and Robert's Sunday Lunch videos to see why.

No. I'm not the type who could bear a lifestyle like that. I'm not entitled enough and I value my privacy and anonymity.
ClassicRocker · 56-60, M
@CrazyMusicLover I couldn't either. You sound very intelligent and real.
exexec · 61-69, C
Absolutely not! I like my privacy. Even the little bit of "fame" that I experienced was too much for me.
ClassicRocker · 56-60, M
@exexec I agree, the fact people want to pry and know everything about a person in this day and age is horrifying.
caPnAhab · 26-30, M
I'd like to be a professional musician but I don't want a rockstar lifestyle
ClassicRocker · 56-60, M
@caPnAhab Do you play an instrument now?
caPnAhab · 26-30, M
@ClassicRocker I've been playing guitar and bass guitar for a long time.

Though I can't read sheet music. Not like I could when I played trombone in middle school.
Synyster · 51-55, M
Back in my early and mid twenties, I definitely would.
ClassicRocker · 56-60, M
@Synyster We were young an innocent then.
Synyster · 51-55, M
@ClassicRocker
Indeed we were.
BarbossasHusband · 36-40, M
I wouldn't want the fame, no
ClassicRocker · 56-60, M
@BarbossasHusband Me either.
JohnOinger · 41-45, M
ClassicRocker · 56-60, M
@JohnOinger I bet you would be a great rockstar, you already have all the groupies 🤣
ClassicRocker · 56-60, M
@ravenhill Same here.

ClassicRocker · 56-60, M
@royalblue1193 Excellent!
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
The time for that was....the 90s for me.
ClassicRocker · 56-60, M
@uncalled4 Hey it's like the old saying "It's better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all" in some ways I imagine.
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
@ClassicRocker Had I been in a one hit wonder band, I'd be pretty screwed now. I just play music on weekends, make a few extra bucks, and go home to a day job and a 401k. Basically came up with this plan 40 years ago.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
I like making music and performing it, but the rockstar life isn't for me. I'm too old for that shit.
ClassicRocker · 56-60, M
@basilfawlty89 Yea but the fact you can do that is pretty damn cool.
