Kind of a strange question

A few weeks ago I seen feathers on the ground by this one feeder. I guess one of the neighbors cats got a bird. Well one of the feeders broke and we decided to replace both feeders by the house. Well some reason the birds hated those feeder's. Well my daughter she wanted this really nice feeder and she replaced one with this nice one she got. We kept the other outside the one where that bird was killed. Since that happen I haven't noticed any birds close to it. But they have loved the feeder my daughter got. Do birds really remember something like that that happen weeks ago

is there any evidence like feathers still around the scene of the crime that might warn birds off?

@GerOttman no there isn't

@smileylovesgaming could be something they smell or just smart birds. crows remember almost everything, jays will call out a cat and mocking birds will tag team them.
