paranormal movies aren't that scary anymore because its usually either jump scares or gross out gore.

but there's occasionally a gem here or there. the bear scene in Annihilation actually unnerved me. the danger is present and the fact u can make out actual words from the human part of the growls is what makes it creepy.

Tough to pick. I love the mainline Conjuring movies but the spin offs not as much, really. Also have you ever seen It Follows?
