Odysseus’ journey in The Odyssey is kinda hilarious when you think about it

The distance between Troy and Ithaca is roughly 560 nautical miles, so traveling by ship should only take about a week. But the gods just have it in for Odysseus so much, it takes him 20 frickin’ years. Jesus 😂

Honestly he didn’t seem to be that big of a hurry in the original story. He spent a year living with circe and even had kids with her then took plenty of time with caliopy.
