Jews believe that the souls of the righteous live forever and that it will be reunited with its body - resurrection - which takes place when the messiah arrives, may this occur speedily and in our days.. There are however conditions, one is that only the soul of the righteous is eligible which means that this soul was from a person who did enough good while in this world to be elevated into heaven to await resurrection. That's why we observe not ten commandments but as many of the six hundred and thirteen commandments as we can on a consistent basis.. Not every soul is eligible... Not every person has done enough good to qualify for an elevation and to be eligible for resurrection.... it's not a matter of who will or will not get into heaven to make hell a place or that it exists for those who deserve it ...its there in different levels for those who won't make it to heaven... are there degrees of evil? Yes of course.. but are there levels of damnation where the punishment fits the crime? I have no idea and it does not really matter.. we believe that those souls will NOT be elevated, will not be resurrected... and so those people have chosen to be excluded. Hell is not so much a Jewish concept... as much as it is a place where those souls who are excluded from heaven go... Can a soul be destroyed? Clearly the answer is yes.

A very few of us, live lives on this earth and enjoy abundant and divine blessings while we live... Lives that are so extraordinary that they are heaven on earth... a preview so to speak... Some people are blessed with such privilege, most however are not. I personally have difficulty counting my blessings because there are so many of them.. We do not recognize luck, we do believe in and we do experience blessings..

No. I dont think hate from one life should follow someone to the next. I think life is a learning experience for everyone and were on our own individual paths of experiences.

Our problems stem from scarcity, greed and misdirection. Its the obstical to overcome them thats builds character and satisfy your feeling of being.

Some people, the truly evil people. The one's that hurt babies, and serial killers that cannibalise with little to no remorse...
