Yep. All through college and briefly after returning from the Army until I got a job. Do barracks mates in the Army count? Oodles of them. Great way to learn how to get along with a lot of different kinds of people with different personalities, perspectives, experiences, backgrounds. If you choose to use it as a learning experience.

Many times in my life. It can be torture 😂

Yes, but thankfully he was also my best friend. Didn't mean it wasn't sometimes annoying living with him (for four years!) but ultimately it was a good time. I've never had a bad roommate experience, but it sounds awful. :(

But I also had great roommates, they helped around the house, bought food for the house, and much more.
So I had both sides of having a roommate/roommates

My sister and I lived together as roommates for a couple years, if that counts. Sorry to hear you're stuck with a lousy one.

Yup, I've had a couple. The first one is still one of my best friends. The second got himself evicted.
