How am I going to get to heaven if I don't learn how to forgive?

Reading Matthew over and over again...I realized that I have not been able to forgive Joe Biden...or Nancy Pelosi...or Adam Schiff...or Jerry Nadler...or about 12 dozen lying bags of crap whose sole intent seems to be to drag our nation down into the dirt so that China and Russia can trample on us.

HOW can I forgive these people? Willing to listen to constructive suggestions.

To begin with, you personally don't know those people you mentioned. You are judging them on innuendos and heresay. Let God judge them, Only God knows what they are actually guilty of. Only God knows!! It's His job to forgive them or not. Not yours.

The ones that Matthew is referring to are the people you know personally that have hurt or offended you personally! Those are the ones that you try to forgive.

@notyouraveragedummy The Lord's prayer says that OUR trespasses will be forgiven in the same way that WE forgive the trespasses of others. It doesn't say "but just your buddies".

[i]I am NOT judging these pieces of crap on innuendo and gossip. I am filled with anger and hate after listening to their OWN WORDS and watching their OWN actions on video.

It is true that on the final day, ONLY God will judge them. But He will ALSO judge ME...and He will know that I haven't yet been able to forgive these horrible people who are dragging my country through the dirt.
@4meAndyou You ARE judging them Calling them "a piece of crap" is a conclusion on your part. That is judging. I didn't say "just your buddies". I said the people who have offended you personally.

You will not succeed if you hold on to the hate in your heart. You first must overcome that before you can forgive.

@notyouraveragedummy I am absolutely judging them. NOT for final judgement, however. People of my generation do NOT consider being judgy a sin. We judge pedophiles, perverts, creeps, thieves, murderers, fraudsters and just generally bad people so that we don't ever go near them, OR vote for them.

These people HAVE offended me, personally. I take the state of my nation VERY personally.

But I admit, most humbly, that I need to overcome the hatred I feel for them. I was hoping for some pointers in that direction.
@4meAndyou Your "Best Comment" is absolutely right. You have to overcome the hate. By your standards, feeling that you can't forgive those people you named, would include every evil human that you're aware of, such as Jeffrey Dahmer or Adolf Hitler, everyone in prison that is guilty of the evil you apply to the people you've named. You must free your heart.

@notyouraveragedummy Yes...I was having a horrible time with it, too. I think it helps to think of evil people as vicious animals...or think of them as people who have sold their souls to evil and have become half human, half demon. They are no longer fully human in my mind...and thus can be forgiven because of the THING or animal they have become. HATE the evil...and realize that the evil person will be sorted out at the end of all things.
