How am I going to get to heaven if I don't learn how to forgive?

Reading Matthew over and over again...I realized that I have not been able to forgive Joe Biden...or Nancy Pelosi...or Adam Schiff...or Jerry Nadler...or about 12 dozen lying bags of crap whose sole intent seems to be to drag our nation down into the dirt so that China and Russia can trample on us.

HOW can I forgive these people? Willing to listen to constructive suggestions.

@rfatoday I’m glad it helped in some way.

You are giving the ... issues every bit of your energy..attention. Don't take it personally. Millions of souls are affected, around the globe.
It's a spiritual warfare, been going on sincethe beginning of history.
It's the Devil's doings, making of hate and anger. You are feeding the beast.
Observe, watch..pray ..but do not absorb! Do not get angry at evildoers. The energy you give him ..feeds the ...negativity.

I know..easier said then done... 🙏❤✌

@ShadowWorker I love your insight. Thank you my friend!

I've considered this matter for some time.

How can I forgive someone that does not deserve forgiveness.

Then, it dawned on me.
The same could be said of me - I am not deserving of God's forgiveness.
But then God provided a loop hole - If I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior- my sins are forgiven.

Are Joe Biden's sins mine to forgive?

I am working on this matter too - and will watch for the insight of others.

@Budwick I'm exactly where you're at. It's a tough thought to wrestle with.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@MoonlightLullaby I would be interested if you come up with an answer.
We can forgive them by promptly sending them back to God for judgement.

@BizSuitStacy That is my problem. I struggle with granting any of them my personal forgiveness, and think about firing squads instead. I am really trying to get to that place where I can free my own soul from this anger and hate.
@4meAndyou Much of modern English law is still based in Judeo-Christian faith. We don't have to use forgiveness as a substitute for accountability. Just tell them you love them and forgive them as you squeeze the trigger. In all seriousness, I understand the dilemma. I wrestle with the anger/hatred thing as well.
4meAndyou · F
@BizSuitStacy If only some giant wave went sweeping through and took them all away. That will never happen. Instead, I have to learn to be a TRUE Christian and not some angry bloodthirsty Valkyrie.

ok, i don't forgive easily so i better follow this closely. i am still trying to forgive Merentbah for chasing Moses across the Red Sea.
To begin with, you personally don't know those people you mentioned. You are judging them on innuendos and heresay. Let God judge them, Only God knows what they are actually guilty of. Only God knows!! It's His job to forgive them or not. Not yours.

The ones that Matthew is referring to are the people you know personally that have hurt or offended you personally! Those are the ones that you try to forgive.
4meAndyou · F
@notyouraveragedummy I am absolutely judging them. NOT for final judgement, however. People of my generation do NOT consider being judgy a sin. We judge pedophiles, perverts, creeps, thieves, murderers, fraudsters and just generally bad people so that we don't ever go near them, OR vote for them.

These people HAVE offended me, personally. I take the state of my nation VERY personally.

But I admit, most humbly, that I need to overcome the hatred I feel for them. I was hoping for some pointers in that direction.
@4meAndyou Your "Best Comment" is absolutely right. You have to overcome the hate. By your standards, feeling that you can't forgive those people you named, would include every evil human that you're aware of, such as Jeffrey Dahmer or Adolf Hitler, everyone in prison that is guilty of the evil you apply to the people you've named. You must free your heart.
4meAndyou · F
@notyouraveragedummy Yes...I was having a horrible time with it, too. I think it helps to think of evil people as vicious animals...or think of them as people who have sold their souls to evil and have become half human, half demon. They are no longer fully human in my mind...and thus can be forgiven because of the THING or animal they have become. HATE the evil...and realize that the evil person will be sorted out at the end of all things.
I can't 'forgive' our PM for the dinosaur sht he has put and is putting us through, soooo, yeah.....
I don't know.

They are monsters. I don't think it's up to me to forgive if they are ACTIVELY hurting us, nope. Not in my mind.

I am not your religion, so, that's maybe 'in my favour' here (for lack of more accurate words) ? I don't know.

I am not actively watching the news...On hell no. ( I am an HSP I can't bear that level of negativity and crazy.)
I just hear blips and snippets on the www and think to myself, what an azzhole, and a monster.
I suppose a good example of forgiving officials is Daniel. No matter what people in government do, they’re just another opportunity to turn to the Lord and think on what would glorify Him. Pray for them and for the state of this country?
4meAndyou · F
@Colonelmustardseed Thank you for the suggestion. I will read Daniel.

Some things we need to give to God

Reminds me of an old Iris song ...

@Heartlander WOW!!! Just as an aside, I have managed to forgive ALL of my exes. I knew them, you see...and even though some of them were villains, and one of them was sick in the head, I KNEW them really well...and I think that knowing someone allows you to know the reasons for what they did. That being said...I would never go near any of them again. But I DO forgive them.

Evil politicians are another story...and a problem for me.
Heartlander · 80-89, M
@4meAndyou It's something that has been grinding me for a while. In a personal relationship you have power, power to forgive, power to walk away from, power to modify, etc. Buth that's not the same as situations where you are powerless. In which case there is no one to forgive, really. And whether you like or dislike, forgive or not, the mystery inflicted is unchanged.

I don’t think even God can forgive Biden ☠️
4meAndyou · F
@SW-User It's not for us to say...only God knows what He will do on the last day.

Things are bad, even her church doesn't want her😟

Thank you for BC.
