Christians: If Hitler genuinely repented of his sins and accepted Jesus into his heart, he would go to heaven, yes?

And if someone who lives a good life does not accept Jesus they go to hell, yes?

Does that seem like justice to you?

All a bit silly as we know that Hitler shot him self after bringing down a Gotterdamerung of destruction on the German people as a punishment for losing the war. He believed that all Germans should die rather than surrender as a punishment for them for losing the war . The last desperate act of the atheistic regime which was determined to destroy Christianity in Germany after the Jews.
@AbbeyP

I'm not sure Hitler's religious views or the broader religiosity of Nazis in general is a settled matter but neither is relevant in the context of this hypothetical scenario.

Just that the question is totally irrelevant as is the question of what would’ve happened if Caesar had not crossed the Rubicon. @Pikachu

No, the question is unrealistic.
The relevance of the question is not in whether the scenario is realistic but in the moral implications of the answer.

Are you living in a dreamworld? The question is not for us to answer. @Pikachu

The question is for you to answer even if you personally are unwilling to rise to the challenge.

I'm not demanding an objective, evidence-based conclusion. I'm asking people to think through a moral dilemma.

The fact is that Christians believe that all judgement is ultimately given to God and it is not up to us to judge. So who am I to judge in your hypothetical case? You remind me of these ancient philosophers he used to argue about how many angels could balance on a pin@Pikachu
@AbbeyP

Perhaps it is not ours to judge but that doesn't mean we should abdicate thought.
As i said, there is no requirement here to participate.

So you live in the world of hypothetical thought? Why not realistic thought?@Pikachu
@AbbeyP

lol no, i don't live in a world of hypothetical thought. I'm just asking a hypothetical question.

Are you interested in engaging thoughtfully in the exercise or not?
AbbeyP · 70-79, F
I’m interested in reality which obviously you are not. You obviously have no understanding of Hitler or Christianity or you wouldn’t ask such a question. @Pikachu
@AbbeyP

Well the Hitler part is hypothetical. The Christianity part is what i'm interested in discussing and understanding.

But you seem more interested in criticizing the premise of the question than discussing it.
I don't think we have much to offer each other.

Have a pleasant evening. ✌️

If you’re interested in discussing Christianity with me then PM me. I’m quite happy to discuss it with you@Pikachu
@AbbeyP

Why aren't you happy to discuss it here?🤔

Well, then, let's put it into practical terms the atheist could compare it to. If there was a scientist who was once a Christian that wanted to join an atheist club and a Christian who didn't believe in evolution which would you let join your club?
