yeah so many people but with good reason eh.. 😬 sometimes i tell them off tho but not always.. i've been ghosted too but i accept it .. sometimes we annoy other people.. that's life. shrugs .. sometimes people are cowards and don't want to offend others or piss them off and sometimes people just don't like each other and don't want to talk about it further like skip the drama and all.. don't prolong the bs it kinda hurts to be left in the dark and ghosted but .. live and learn i guess .. not everyone is as nice as they can be but also some people don't deserve our time and vice versa .. time and attention are a gift unless someone is obligated to you but most are not .. sorry 😬

I have reasons
Katie01 · F
I once ghosted a boyfriend for so long I forgot I had a boyfriend and got a new one
Bruja · F
Multiple times.
adhane05 · 36-40, M
No, it's rude behavior to abandon someone without telling them.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@adhane05 it's not rude if they're threatening or being a jackass it's called protecting oneself
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
Nope. Yet I have been ghosted.
Iwillwait · M
Kind of, yes. I had a relationship where I was mistooken by it, to believe it was a "Relationship," and when I discovered it was to just steal from me, I ghosted all of those involved.

OutoftheGloom · 46-50, F
I try not to, it's pretty hurtful and rude but sometimes I might have, usually if a person's behaviour isn't what it should be or the way they have treated me isn't kind or respectful.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@OutoftheGloom I think that is perfectly acceptable why should you take people being rude and unkind and disrespectful especially if you have told them you don't like this and you wanted it to stop and they won't?
Adstar · 56-60, M
Yes.. When you realize the other person is looking for something serious, and you only ever wanted friendship at the most, you have to end it..
I wouldn't call it ghosting ...more like they slowly lost contact with and I stopped trying to keep contact with them then I blocked a bunch of people who didn't want to make any effort in friendship...so ...bye
SpectralMourning · 46-50, M
@Chern0bylplaygr0unds I've been in similar situations before. I'm far from being the ideal SW friend at times but sometimes there are those that have reacted like our growing distance was a personal attack against the blood bond we supposedly made.
@SpectralMourning you mean didn't take the blood oath ? For shame ...I've stopped being the ideal sw friend long ago ....
SpectralMourning · 46-50, M
@Chern0bylplaygr0unds I didn't. I might have pretended like I had sliced my hand but honestly that was just a ketchup packet that I busted open in my hand.
Prettybratbi1tch · 26-30, F
Stay out my business bot 🙄
TheRealBarbossa · 36-40
Yeah, but only bc talking directly to them didn't help
hunkalove · 70-79, M
I don't even know what that means.
Youwereexpectingajoke · 31-35, M
@hunkalove you put a bedsheet on, jump out at them and yell boo
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@hunkalove They or you leave without an explanation. And I do mean someone you thought you knew well. Minimum of years.
Rarely. I don't tend to reach out first though 🤷🏾 if someone stops a convo I don't bother them after that and feel if they desire to continue, at some point they will or might.

Unless they're just NOT taking the hint that you don't want to talk, ghosting seems kinda cowardly.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
Honestly sometimes I do just stop communicating with people because they're disgusting or they are trying to trick me in some way.
The problem when people scream they ghosted me is that they never tell why they got ghosted.
Sure there are some people who really haven't done anything and are confused about it ,but on a format such as this people are going to come and go.
SpectralMourning · 46-50, M
More of a mass ghosting like deleting an account. I'm not sure it's ever really happened as far as targeting a specific someone.
Musicman · 61-69, M
Yes, I just started tonight. A girl I met online this afternoon started asking me for money. She wanted me to buy her kid a birthday present. She wanted a $20 gift card. I just stopped responding to her after telling her I wasn't going to do it.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Justmeraeagain Yes they do! I am not handing money to anyone I just met online.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@Musicman honestly, you shouldn't it even though if you think you know them well and nobody should be asking that's what charities and family are for.
And if you don't have either one of those you can start a GoFundMe page you don't need to ask people on the internet.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Justmeraeagain Excellent advice.
LordShadowfire · 51-55, M
I've ghosted entire communities, but never a single individual.
