Faith in what?
I have faith in bridges but I still like to understand how they're constructed.
Faith is no reason to stifle a curious mind.

@SW-User yup.. Trust.... But verify ;)

Thing is, it's good to ask questions, but I know what you're saying here and most will misunderstand it.
Some do pretend to want to know God, yet all they want to do is argue about it and are not actually seeking the truth, for the same reason a thief doesn't want to find a cop.

@LadyGrace very true, the existence of God cannot be disproven. I have had these discussions with many atheists and agnostics, you can recognize the intent a mile away.

Either you KNOW, deep within yourself, or you just don't get it. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Faith is the lack of evidence to support a claim
@Axeroberts Sure it is

@Ozymandiaz that's right

Faith is often not based in/on fact and with facts, one needs no faith.

And it takes courage to take a leap of faith. But worth it

Nothing should be based on faith. No decision should be made on faith. Your decisions should be based on evidence, logic, and experience. And when it comes to people, well founded trust. Faith is belief without evidence. You're letting control slip out of your fingers

I have to disagree on this one.
Blind faith, never requiring a logical explanation, leads one to be deceived, and to the slaughter.
Faith in Science, still requires a logical explanation and then knowledge is obtained.

So true
Adstar · 56-60, M
True.. But no one lives on 100% faith alone.. So explaination does help one along the way to eternity with God.. God helps those who diligently seek Him..

To one who thinks everything is pointless and thinks life in itself has no meaning, neither faith nor explanation is required.

Makes sense.

To one with something to prove, explanation is essential (and frequent)
