Some of the themes and stories were stolen from Egyptian polytheism. The virgin birth, the baby found floating in the river, a god risen from death.

@hippyjoe1955 Little old man. All you have are insults. I see you here moving from post to post lashing out bile. This is what you do and what brings you joy.
Now the Bible says, specifically in Proberbs 6:12-16
“A worthless person, a wicked man, goes about with crooked speech, winks with his eyes, signals with his feet, points with his finger, with perverted heart devises evil, continually sowing discord; therefore calamity will come upon him suddenly; in a moment he will be broken beyond healing. There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him:”
So your actions are not the actions of someone who lives by the teachings of the Bible. You have earned the hatred of the Hebrew god, and if you allow him the power, he will burn you for it.

@Ceinwyn My 'insults' are the truths you don't want to hear. You are an anti Christian bigot who thinks she has discovered some great truth in the few things she has read about ancient Egypt. You look extremely foolish posting what you do but carry on little girl we can all laugh at your foolish postings.

Any prophecy claimed made in those books are only fulfilled in those books. None have any outside sources for confirmation. Also many have obviously didn’t happen. Such as Damascus being destroyed.

@hippyjoe1955 Do research? I would have thought this a "rub your face in it" fact. If utterly true.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@BlueSkyKing Silly people like you need to do your own research. Being spoon fed doesn't work for people like you.

@hippyjoe1955 I get exactly the same from astrology nuts. They make claims but press them for evidence, silence. "You have to do your own research." Baloney.
"That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence."

Considering mohammed got his stories from Christians and the pseudo Christians we call the gnostics..... Yeah there is some similarity. The difference being that mohammed got them all wrong. How badly did he mess up? At one point he said that the sister of Moses was the mother of Jesus. So much for the perfect prophet.

Yes the prophets where usually peaceful men who suffered persecution for sharing the message God gave them to share...
But muhammad was a violent man who waged jihad on others having people executed who opposed him, so he was not a prophet of God..

Yeah, they stole from similar religions anyway.
Organized religion is a curse on humanity

Fairy tales often have commonality.

This is got to be first time in the history of the Internet I've heard the word "Abrahamic" from a non-fundamentalist atheist

I'm not of an Abrahamic fairy though.
