Regardless of what Abrahamic religion you follow...are the stories of prophets of God somewhat similar?

What happened in the story of Abraham ?

What is the story of jesus ?

Who was Moses?

Believing in all prophets and messengers is an article of faith, in Islam.
Peace be upon them all!

Some of the themes and stories were stolen from Egyptian polytheism. The virgin birth, the baby found floating in the river, a god risen from death.

@Ceinwyn Strangely enough that is utterly false information but nice try though. The Biblical accounts are much more established in history. The baby in the River was put there at pharaoh's command. The hebrew children were to be sacrificed to the River God.

@hippyjoe1955 How little you know. Horus was placed in a basket in the Nile as a baby after Set defeated Osiris. A story 2000 years older than Moses.

@Ceinwyn A similar story does not mean one is a copy of the other. Much the same as the flood story in Babylon as opposed to the Noah account in the Bible. They sound similar but one is much more believable than the other. Sadly your legends are fantasy. The Bible is historically based.

@hippyjoe1955 A book written centuries after the supposed events by men who used the contents for political gain is not evidence of anything. It’s as fictional as Tolkien.

@Ceinwyn Do try to grasp the concept. Joseph put the Hebrew records in the library in Egypt. A few hundred years later Moses found those records and used them as the basis for his 5 books of the Bible. The Hebrew texts go all the way back to Adam.

@hippyjoe1955 A copyright infringement. It sounds like someone is going to get sued. 😞

So yes you agree the authors of the fictitious work that is the Bible took story’s from exhausting religious themes. Well done, have a cookie.

@Ceinwyn little girl please there is more archeological evidence for the biblical account than there is of any of the stories you drone on about. I got it you hate Christians. That says a lot about you. When you actually grow up and begin to learn the truths in life hopefully you will have a change of heart. As it is you just look foolish.

@hippyjoe1955 Little old man. All you have are insults. I see you here moving from post to post lashing out bile. This is what you do and what brings you joy.

Now the Bible says, specifically in Proberbs 6:12-16

“A worthless person, a wicked man, goes about with crooked speech, winks with his eyes, signals with his feet, points with his finger, with perverted heart devises evil, continually sowing discord; therefore calamity will come upon him suddenly; in a moment he will be broken beyond healing. There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him:”

So your actions are not the actions of someone who lives by the teachings of the Bible. You have earned the hatred of the Hebrew god, and if you allow him the power, he will burn you for it.

@Ceinwyn My 'insults' are the truths you don't want to hear. You are an anti Christian bigot who thinks she has discovered some great truth in the few things she has read about ancient Egypt. You look extremely foolish posting what you do but carry on little girl we can all laugh at your foolish postings.
