Can't even write in cursive either. Forget about approximating time by looking up at the sun, it has to be digital for them now. With: 1) the pathetic state of affairs as public schools manipulate and abuse grading curves, 2) dismissing actual learning to read/write/do basic math out of hand just to move these kids along to the next grade, and 3) kicking the can down the road with worthless curricula - the results are their basic ability to perceive reality is stunted.

Recent reports indicate 1 in 8 incoming freshmen can't do basic math, and 1 in 5 fail entry-level writing tests:

And they complain about the labor force not accepting them? No wonder contemporary employers are rejecting/firing them en masse.

@PatKirby I am always amazed at how the academic standards have fallen. When I was in grade school only the elite students went of to college and university. Now everyone goes and even worse no one can read or write or do math!
