I feel life has passed me by.

I sit here, still living with my mum, in my 40s and I feel I have missed out on so much. I never finished school, never went to collage.l have only had a few jobs and currently I’m unemployed.
Its been years since I dated, I’m single and lonely.
I see the reason being my weight, I was a fat child and now I’m a very fat adult.
It seems so unfair that I have had to struggle all my life where others seem to breeze through.
I know I should diet and exercise, I have tried but the weight has always come back on.
I would just like to be given a chance at some of the things I have missed.

I didn't have a real job until I was 24 because my mental health was that bad. I only really started "normal" life at 27.

I've worked my current job for almost 2 years and I'm studying counselling. Just started dating at 31, had one relationship beforehand. Just started going to the gym properly for a few months.

I'm living with family as the economy sucks/rental market is busted and I just started driving at 31.

It's never too late trust me. We all have our own reasons, make the future what you want it to be. Take small steps, make them achievable, be brave, and you'll get there in your time
