Sumer, one of the most ancient civilizations on earth, left clay tablets with a written tale of their alien gods, who came to earth to mine it for resources in short supply on their own planet. These "gods" were called the Annunaki.
Although I reference one version of the story in the link below, another version I have read stated that the Annunaki found primitive animal like creatures here, and altered them to be workers in their mines.
The version I read, stated that one of the Annunaki eventually used his own substance to create even more intelligent workers, and the head of the expedition was horrified, and left the planet.

@ElRengo "According to Sumerian mythology, human-like gods called Anunna had initially come to mine resources that were needed on their home planet. Now, with the creation of a human labor force, their duties were changed. They ruled over what was, for all practical purposes, a human slave race. Their base of operations was Mesopotamia, the land between the Tigris and Euphrates river. In the Epic of Gilgamesh, the world's first epic poem, it was called Eden." This, from the link above, does mention that they were aliens.
I subscribe to ancient origins, but don't know the credentials of the author of this article, Jim Willis, ( I did just look him up, and he sounds like a flake).

Planets (and stars) as we conceive them by now (material entities like Earth) were not imagined that way in ancient myths. They were gods in themselves or signals / symbols of them.
So no aliens by then as we define them now.
The first known written literature was the Epics of Gilgamesh.
There are other later ones.
They are full of gods, demi gods, heroes and humans.
As in other myths of the world, no trace of aliens unless we force some interpretations.
Regarding your source, ancient origins is far from being a serious indexed publication.
If would look for something more solid.
There is no lack of scientific publications about.
