@Cigarguys Won't THAT be the crown on all of our heads!!! It will be a fine, fine day!!!
@4meAndyou

"Crown" is a good choice of words. I haven't seen the exact location yet but it looks like it will be across the street From Hallmark's Crown Center.
Finally!! KCMO does does it right :)

A tight squeeze but even if it's a smaller ballpark they will draw larger crowds. Within walking distance of hotels, restaurants; on Kansas City's main bus lines. Surrounded by long established entertainment and shopping areas.
@Cigarguys Really a great choice, though kind of sad to see the old place go. That's such a historic area. Tie that in to the planned changes for the park atop the freeway near the Power and Light and everything will REALLY be up to dat in Kansas City!!

@Heartlander yes it's bittersweet sweat. I'm excited and sad at the same time.
@Cigarguys If I remember right, Clarence Kivett was the architect behind both the sports complex and the old KCI terminal. Both innovative masterpieces 40 years ago. He left a big footprint in Kansas City. What will hopefully never be demolished is the old Katz drugstore at Westport and Main. Katz was Kivett's uncle and it was the great depression. Lots of history all around.

Looks like both the Royals and Chiefs are getting new stadiums. The new Royals stadium looks really nice. Right in the heart of K.C.
@Barefooter25 I'm not convinced about the location of the Chief's new Arrowhead, if that's what they will continue to call it. It's near the junction of Interstate I-70 West and where the I-435 loop wraps around the west side of the metro. While that's a booming area, it's quite a distance from the KCMO core community and not really reachable by public transportation. So the Royals will be in the inner city, walkable, or get there by city bus, surrounded by hotels, multiple entertainment areas; the Chiefs new stadium will be in the far outer Kansas suburbs. I haven't checked the distance but they may even be closer to Leavenworth than they will be to KCMO.

@Heartlander I don't know much about the areas around Kansas City, MO or Kansas City KS. If there is any consolation to the Chiefs moving to the Kansas side, Kansas Speedway is also located in Kansas City, KS. Besides, not every NFL team has a stadium in the actual city they are supposed to represent.

Hard Rock Stadium is located in Miami Gardens, next to the Florida Turnpike. The New York Giants and Jets play in East Rutherford, NJ.
@Barefooter25

Oh yes, it will be near the speedway and the Legends. I think it's the hottest growth area in the city now. I believe Cerner has their corporate office near their now, Panasonic recently put in a huge EV battery plant. Lawrence and KU are just a stone throw to the west along I-70, Leavenworth and Lancing just a few miles north, all with easy access. Good friends have a farm nearby.

Being a Kansan myself, a pretty good location and better than where they are now. I just had rather it move to where the everyday Kansas City people are, near the heart of town where they could use the economic boost, and where the people without cars and without very much money could easily access.

When either the Royals or the Chiefs do something great, they have their parade down Main street and celebrate at Union Station and the Liberty Memorial, with a huge overflowing crowd. That's pretty close to where the new Royals' ballpark will go. Would be nice if the Chiefs would likewise be nearby.

I don't even know where the current one is located, but I'll know soon enough... Haha ha

Oh, I see.. I didn't know it was right next to Arrowhead. The next one will be more "Downtown".

@Cigarguys I don't think the Packers will ever leave Lambeau or Green Bay for that matter. Everyone would have to give up their stock. Lol.

I'm happy they're staying put for the foreseeable future. No need for the support face, Jeremy. 😊

Save them for when they will need a new stadium and I'm on my deathbed at 90.

Let's see. If it was originally built in 1957 and it stayed put till I was 90 years old. Making it only 111 years young. 😁

Once Da Bears leave Soldier Field after they close up shop in this or next year. They might not be staying in Illinois.

That would make Lambeau the oldest remaining stadium built in the 20th century.
@Levenrack

In the change category, are the Saints threatening to leave New Orleans?
