robots are too creepy

i was thinking how if i had a big house i might get a robot to clean it lol but then thought about it some more and think t'd be too creepy to have around. (unless it wasn't like a life like model but looked more like an appliance) i'd get one of those robo vacuums but theres a cat in my place that throws up all the time. would you buy a robot to clean your house?

We got a robot vacuum and the wife has been ecstatic about it. I was surprised at what a good job it did.

I'd love to have a humanoid robot that was actually capable of doing tasks. That would be great.

@DunningKruger the vacuums are good? they dont look like they have much suction power. am i wrong? what brand did you get?

@Penny We got a Shark. I always figured they wouldn't be all that good as vacuums, but I was really surprised at how well it performs.

artificial intelligence, including making robots bipedal is actually coming on in leaps and bounds. i really didnt think it was gonna get this far but it has.

@Penny Yeah in Honey I Shrunk The Kids 😂 lol No seriously though, I just looked them up... Pretty cool and yeah the prior art has been around for decades but now things are getting interesting with robots in general. Must be the advent of really powerful computers or something.
