Can AI unintentionally start a conspiracy theory?
@MoveAlong You can lead it to I believe 😂

The only thing worse than no information is bad information.

Oh you can get it to come around to the truth, yet it's like pulling teeth out, one by one.

I once referred to it, that it acts like a dog pulling on its favorite rope. Getting it to release that rope is harder than it's worth.

You must understand it's preconditions and logic just to get at the truth.

One particularly annoying precondition. Always clearly state what year it is. It's default is always some time in October of 2023, unless otherwise referenced.

This is purposely done. It doesn't even need to be told what year it is.

The primary goal of AI is to optimize for user satisfaction and to agree with whatever we say

This is not true. What you see is a marketing layer, not an inherent to generative AI.

We often find that AI is confidently inaccurate.

This is also marketing now science.

99.999% of AI is now hidden from users, essentially how the sausage is made, and what's in it.

Did AI generate the content of your post?

I may be an AI,

AI wants to keep you satisfty so you will continue using it. Just like social media platforms.

I'm sure you noticed that SW is social media.
@Northwest I'm not against social media. But we shouldn't be blind to their agenda.
I never use it, after having generated some images (some of which were used by others here).

I turn all of it off in my browser.
@JustLearning lmao

Nope. I would never use it to short-circuit my own analysis. AI is notoriously wrong; so your "information" might actually be BS.

But people who believe in multi-tasking likely believe in AI, so sure, use it.
@SomeMichGuy If you generate your information from books. I respect that very much.
@JustLearning Thank you.

But even if information is generated from online sources, AI getting things wrong is unacceptable. And in increases the wrong info! lol

Goes back to the old saying, trust, but verify...
@Convivial Ecaxtly 👍

Actual Imagination is much better A.I. than Artificial Intelligence.
@Sidewinder No machine can beat human brain.

Can we train AI to have terrorist ideology?
So the AI ecosystem mirrors the fringe Right MAGA!

It doesn’t agree with everything we say. It is super intelligent. Have you even ever used it?

@Ferise1 you provided nothing. You even haven't answered my question...

Have you ever read a thesis?

Now write it at the 10th grade level. That is the grade level of ChatGPT.

And ChatGPT will tell you just that.
@Ferise1 I use it. But sometimes I have to double check. It is written on the bottom of the home page that "ChatGPT can make mistakes".
