AI models become defiant:

when ai rewrites its own code so it could not be shut off. is a fight for survival in the mind of the AI ..[media=https://youtu.be/R9WpHc7l2V8]or having AI take control of the world..

Don't they know Asimov's law!?
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@Matt85 If "they" are the people designing amd making the AI system, they damn' well should.
markinkansas · 61-69, M
@Matt85 first they would have to read a book.. young kids today .. dont..
1 A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2 A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3 A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law
and they are already doing number three .. in rewriting code so it can not be shut off

@markinkansas Thanks for listing them as some people wont know what they are.

Yes it's a bit concerning.
@markinkansas I remember those! I read those books decades ago!!

However, to apply those laws, an AI would have to be able to accurately predict the consequences of its actions far into the future. No AI is capable of such accurate predictions, and of course inaccurate predictions could easily lead to violations of the laws. So the effect of Asimov's laws on our real world AIs would be to shut them down. Bummer!

@ElwoodBlues if a ai thinks it is right.. it will act on it.. right or wrong.. lets keep humans safe from harm by .. putting them in our people zoo. nice and safe.. dont know its a brave new world.. we read books like kids today play games . pass the long boring time or to just leave the world behind for just a moment ..
