Trying to die young? 🤷♂️

@RedBaron There seems to be a peculiar, well, what, fad? fetish - I don't know - for wanting to be absurdly and dangerously overweight, even to the point of becoming a house-bound wreck heading for an early grave, with a rather undignified final journey in a crate craned onto a lorry.
Why they do this, I cannot say but I have a question on what might be behind this peculiarly American desire. Is it a reaction to decades of US films and TV shows, books and children's toys forever pushing unrealistic images and expectations of female and male, physical perfection?
Worse though, it has gathered a coterie, as we see on this thread, of cruel, manipulative people wilfully encouraging others in their self-destructive trait.
