@Emele I didn't mean to do that. I only wanted to push back on Martin's repetition of the discredited CICO theory. And while you may not have picked up on any fatphobia in Martin's post, trust me, it's there. Fat people get the "just eat less and move more" line all the time from people who are "only concerned about your health." I also have a history with Martin you may not be aware of.

I would recommend Aubrey Gordon's new book You Just Need to Lose Weight and 19 Other Myths About Fat People which is where I got the references I cited.
