It seems that when men suggest to their wife/GF they'd like to see them sexually with other men, many women would be concerned that the men want to use her activities to attempt to open the door for them to do the same.

@JustADad I think this is the catch - it has to be the woman that wants to do it (ie. cheat but not), as I suspect if a husband cold-mentioned it to his wife 9 times out of 10 the answer would be 'no' and in some cases result in violence and threats of divorce. Yet a woman can suggest it and like all things in the 'womanosphere' it immediately gets accepted as valid.
