Ladies do you oil your hair? Like scalp oil, or oil the ends of your hair? I do every day, not that my hair is damaged or anything I'm just trying to

Preserve my ends to grow my hair longer and longer. It's never been this long before!!!

I just got a large bottle of L'Oreal Hyalorunic Shampoo and Conditioner in the Mail yesterday and a bottle of Purology 21 colorfanatic and I use 2 or more oils prewash I use OGX coconut oil, and after was and daily I use Olaplex 7 bonding oil... Sometimes I make my own oil like a rosemary oil boiled with coconut oil and rosemary leaves.

Oiling hair is a big thing in my culture. A cultural tradition of bonding and for self care. I grew up with my mum oiling my hair. We even do it at pre wedding ceremonies. I try do it before every wash now but sometimes I get tired so it's hit and miss lol

@HijabaDabbaDoo Nice, well we must thank your culture for sharing it with the whole world because now everybody's doing it! And it's awesome!

Your hair looks beautiful 👍

We use oil on my daughter's hair as it tends to dry out in our northern climate.

@SunshineGirl Thank you kindly! How far up North? I'm from Northern Alberta? Yesterday was warm and muggy!

@saintsong We live in the UK. Our (adopted) daughter has some African heritage and we have to take special care of her skin and hair in the winter. A little olive oil does wonders.

@SunshineGirl Awe beautiful! That's really sweet!

My shampoo has avocado oil in it and I use a tiny amount of Argon oil as a leave-in conditioner. It keeps my hair totally frizz-free :)

Your hair is lovely

I put castor oil on my hair and let it soak for a few hours on hair wash days castor oil is amazing for hair growth
MommaBear · 26-30, F
@saintsong don’t wash it everyday it’s bad for your hair, use castor oil on hair wash days and let it soak at least 2 hours with a shower cap on your head, use protective hairstyles and take prenatals but also pregnancy helped my hair grow a lot (I’ve had 5 kids)
saintsong · 41-45, F
@MommaBear Whola hense the name MommaBear!! You are definately a Momma!!! Wow 5 kids!!! I have 4 and thought that was a bit much lol! You had your hands full, and yes pregnancy hair is awesome but what about after pregnancy doesn't it fall our around the face? Mine did I had baby hairs every where! I was thinking about using prenatal vitamins thinking they're the best?? I bet your hair is really soft and silky using castor oils... I use both plastic caps and silk caps too... I do the full 9 yards when it comes to wash days... Never spent so much time on my hair like I have over the last two years and it's paying off! I wish I had your hair!! You're blessed with Rupunzel hair that's a dream!!! Well done! Well done!!!

@Bexsy I haven't thought of adding oil to my conditioner, that's a good idea!

Wash your hair with good dark beer and mix 3 ounces of dark molasses with the 12 ounces of beer
