@senghenydd usually it is either from an old unjury in the area or it can be inflammation there are multiple things that can cause arthritis to set up the bad thing is is you cant really do anything other than just manage the pain

I had a couple attacks of gout. If it's like that I really feel for you. Taking hydrocortizone or any other steroids?

Have you been to see the Doctor I'm sure he/she could help ease your pain.
Can relate. Right shoulder. Left hand really bad all over. Wrists and both knees.
