“Their fear of being vulnerable,” which I know doesn't apply to all men, but society says it's weak for a man to show vulnerability, so much is to be said, and when it's not being said, it erupts internally or outwardly, both of which can be dangerous and lead to devastation. Men have the highest suicide rates.

@SW-User it's hard to break from societal conditioning, especially since we tend to experience more negative outcomes than actual support. If more of us would be vulnerable, we could probably break the stigma and change expectations. But that seems unlikely so everyone is left feeling they will be punished socially for stepping out of line.
It would be nice if this could be fixed.

@SW-User I’ve read that it’s a huge turn off for men to be vulnerable to women.

@Theyitis Where did you read that? Women are not monolithic; therefore, I'm not sure how anyone came to the notion that all women were turned off by a man's vulnerability; I'm not.

@SW-User Don’t remember where I read it. Maybe not all women are turned off by men being vulnerable, but the vast majority are.
