Honestly, I cannot pick a specific weight. For me, there is a lot of difference in how the weight is carried. Some have a more dense body structure and might look stocky as part of being overweight. A lot of Asians have a genetic tendency to store fat beneath their muscles, which hides it visibly (though is more dangerous as it crowds their organs), and yet others have a "puffy" look with just a couple extra pounds.

Medically, I'd say at the point of obesity.

Aesthetically for me, it is the point where the skin looks puffy -which is different for everyone.
SnowGirl · 26-30, F
@ViciDraco Huh, that makes a lot of sense. What exactly does “puffy” skin look like??? How would you describe it?

SW-User
It's more about how they look than actual weight because that will look different on everyone.
But at 5'4" 160 starts to get close.

@SW-User Thank you for sharing your opinion!

So what “look” makes a fat person “fat”? Big boobs and bum, thick thighs and broad shoulders? Or is it all in the tummy? Ha ha
SW-User
@SnowGirl Sure, any time.
SW-User
I would consider someone "fat" when they're mostly fat instead of muscle and skin. I'd probably say around 3 or 4+ over their normal BMI index. 1 to 3 is more so chubby.
This is, of course, depending entirely on fat content and not muscle mass.
SW-User
@SnowGirl Looking at it, yes, I would. She has numerous folds going on, you can see A LOT of extra meat on her.
SnowGirl · 26-30, F
@SW-User Fair. A lot of girls get more folds when they’re losing weight and less when they gain though 🤔
I know there’s no perfect answer.
For what’s it’s worth though, no matter what society wants to call her I think she’s drop dead gorgeous
SW-User
@SnowGirl Possibly. I'd need to see the whole package to really render judgement, but even then that judgement wouldn't be me. I'd rather judge based on personality than looks.

Weight has nothing to do with it..

Fat is fat and a person is fat when they are carrying a lot of fat on their body.. All one needs do is look at a girl and instantly know if they are too fat or not..
SnowGirl · 26-30, F
@Adstar But how much fat is “fat”?? We all carry at least a little bit of fat. Especially the ladies with curves in their chests and bums!! Lol
Adstar · 56-60, M
@SnowGirl It's an individual preference.. Some guys like skinny girls some like them with with more flesh.. Might be hard for a girl to know if she is too fat if she lacks awareness as to the majority of guys like.. Girls just need to be observant as to what the most popular girls look like and what girls who never get approached look like..

There is a things that can muddy the waters with this.. If a girl is just a toxic nasty female then she will be approached less even if she has an attractive body.. While some very approachable woman may get some attention even if they are on the fat side..

There is also the problem of some people having mental conditions that cause them to either think they are too fat when they are normal and this causes them to starve themselves and on the other end of the spectrum people who think they are normal when in fact they are obese..

So lots of variables that can work to make this assessment difficult to get right..
SW-User
Let's be scientific. For 5'4/162cm:

BMI 25-29.9 (overweight)= 145-175 pounds
BMI 30+ (obese aka fat)= 175+ pounds

Unless she has an enormous muscular mass of course.
SnowGirl · 26-30, F
@SW-User Fair, I can definitely appreciate science lol
So you can be overweight and not “fat”? Like just chubby? If you’re fat as in obese, that’s pretty bad then, right?
SW-User
So you can be overweight and not “fat”? Like just chubby

There has to be a transitional range between normal & obese/fat. Chubby is a casual word for overweight. So yeah.

If you’re fat as in obese, that’s pretty bad then, right?
Health-wise, it is.

@SW-User Makes sense. Thank you so much for sharing your opinion!
Adstar · 56-60, M
Its a visual opinion.. There is no weight measure.. same for guys.. If you think a person is fat then that person is fat to you.
A question no man should ever answer 😆

@BizSuitStacy Noo A question that only Brave Men will answer.. 💪
TaraNice · 36-40, F
What does "fat" mean?
SnowGirl · 26-30, F
Exactly, you tell me @TaraNice !
TaraNice · 36-40, F
@SnowGirl do we need to use words to describe size? If we're talking about clothes we can say 'I'm size X, you're size Y, she is size Z', but a word like "fat" has no purpose other than to make someone feel bad about themselves
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
I don't really care for the "f" word. As long as one is healthy, I see no issue.
SnowGirl · 26-30, F
@uncalled4 I really like this
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
@SnowGirl thanks.

I just tried to vote and it said I have voted once before. The survey posted 14 minutes ago.

@Muldoon 🤷🏻‍♀️
Snowbib · 46-50, M
For me all girls in snowsuits look gorgeous and the size doesn’t matter
romell · 51-55, M
Simple if the persons body looks out of shape...
