I’m curious

Has anyone seen polyamory/“sharing” work? Or does it always end in tears.

I think it can work if it's the agreement from the start, but from what I hear it almost always ends up in tears if introduced into a currently monogamous relationship. I personally don't really believe it's a way of having a relationship, instead I think of it as friends with benefits. I don't mean to say there's anything wrong with it, I just feel like it suddenly got trendy and now people view it in a bit of a weird way.

@Blanchy Yeah I think things that used to be considered “taboo” are a lot more common now, though I don’t hear much about polyamory, other than what I see online etc.

@DHggmu I agree and I'm glad that it's so, people shouldn't feel bad for living life the way they want to. This isn't something I encountered IRL either, only on the internet. Perhaps people are just not open about it IRL tbh.

@Blanchy Yeah exactly, live and let live. It just makes me curious about their way of thinking and living tbh. But I can see why people wouldn’t be too open about it, we get judged for any reasons as it is.
