Pretty scary getting older, being single and in physical pain, and realizing..

@SW-User I was just saying that the other day to someone I know, that I can count the number of people that I trust on one hand and still have the fingers as well!!!! & I think it is personally sad how much worse-er It is going to get & be.

@Mamawolff95 Yep. When I was younger I used to dread the thought of being alone. Now I cherish it. I really don’t like people all up in my stuff too much. It’s exhausting.

@SW-User @Mamawolff95 jk..just felt a cupid opportunity there, and y'all were my ken and barbie hehe..real talk tho: felt..it is so sad how few people are there for others. my stupid ass counselor will perfunctorily ask how my week was..i will tell her how much joy i have had hosting a party/getting tips from a greedy boss for my fellow employees/talking to my dad/helping others..she will poo-poo that, call me codependent, then launch into her ridiculous opinion that while i "have a heart of gold", i "give too much" and am "mean and hateful" to my abusive mother.

@SW-User i agree..it is like the kid who follows u around at church camp growing up, standing on your flip flops as you walk..i am somehow going to be a bad or slutty wife if i want a diff bed (same house) occasionally, so that i can toss and turn in peace? ppl get married bc they a) want a slave, b) think that person wont die or get sick themselves

@foldedunfolding People often get married because society or their family tells them they have to and ridicules them if they don’t. They usually have no idea what they are really getting into. I don’t think it’s a truly natural human trait especially with the number of people who are miserable after doing it.

@foldedunfolding Yep. People do need love and affection…in doses. It doesn’t mean we need the same person attached to us 24x7x365 nonstop forever.

@SW-User amen! who is she to call me codependent when i went no contact 16 months ago lol..and they are MARRIED for more than 45? is not marriage the very definition of codependence..and ignoring someone the definition of independence..color me confused

@SW-User my dad said he had a lot of trouble finding counselors willing to do family counseling..and they insisted on a christian counselor, which, i think..stacks the deck already. even tho i am a Christian, i am a staunchy anti trump christian..who speaks her mind..cusses sometimes..gets passionate sometimes..and will take on a man at my leisure, never by necessity. i was given 3 choices, and i chose of the 3. the one i WANTED to go to was the gay gentleman who has a history of standing up for abuse victims. but if we went to him, his defense, to them, would be "just bc he was gay and therefore chock full of rebellious sin like me"

@SW-User no..it is my attempt to show my nieces and nephews that i would go to the ends of the earth for them, even tho fuck the adults in this situation..i will likely need to go NC with all of them. my dad is stage 4 and not doing well, and this is also being treated as an almost dying wish 😪😪😪 i have never been to court nor jail ha
