Do women find it challenging to date a guy who’s much younger, or is it just society that makes age gaps feel awkward?

I was not always like that, experimenting and learning with differences, but nowadays I want a compatible partner, do not want to help a child grow up and energize me in return, or to give energy to an elder whilst gaining from their wisdom. I want an equal partner to grow together and support each other.

It isn't challenging so much as it is feeling like I'm raising another kid. I'd rather be in a relationship where we are both equals, but that rarely happens with a younger partner. Our goals and needs often don't match up either, making it hard.

I always preferred older, even when I was younger. I never found it appealing or ever considered someone younger or even the same age as me, even if we were the same age and my birthday was first and I was a few months older, it was just a turn off for me. I viewed it as a child looking for a mother figure or who had mommy issues.

It can be sometimes, yes. "Society" has a lot to say about stuff that isn't any of their business, so I wouldn't worry about it if you're consenting adults.

I would never date anyone younger than me. Even the same age or a couple years older is off-limits. I need them to be at least five years over. I once had a bf who was over 3x older than me

For awhile I dated younger men because I look young. But they were looking to get started in life and I was done with those dreams

What makes age gap relationships challenging, no matter who is older or younger, is when the older one of the two enters the winter of their life before the younger one.

Big age difference is going to create challenges whether it was the man or the woman who is much younger.

Society won't be happy until age gaps are eliminated entirely and your dating pool is composed of people exactly your own age.

I think at that point the only thing they would have in common is having sex. Same if roles were reversed. Big age gaps aren’t equal standing at all.

I would rather date younger
