Strapping firefighters? Ok!

I just had two smoke alarms going off an hour apart from each other. Called fire department Bec there was no smoke and they kept going off every other hour.
Three firefighters coming over ...can't say I minded it lol. One kept looking at me, a strapping tall guy...but alas, wedding ring😩DAMNIT!!

most house and apartment detectors are ion type. they react to ionized particles of combustion. They can be fooled by things like ammonia based cleaning products and fast moving air currents. Many commercial installs use photo electric detection. These can alarm on dust, fog, and even insects in the sensor chamber. Many devices include a heat detection element, usually 135F but also sense a sudden rise in temperature.

@pdockal They were put in new a few months ago so I doubt the issue was the battery or even dust. Very strange
