@Convivial An atheist doesn’t believe in deities. An agnostic has no knowledge of whether deities exist. You can also have agnostic theists, or people who believe in deities without claiming to have proof of their existence.
A gnostic atheist claims to know for sure that gods don’t exist. An agnostic atheist has no knowledge that gods exist and doesn’t believe they do either.
