Why is it that

when I attack a disgusting ideology like Islam people get triggered, but when I say conspiracy theorists deserve to get COVID and call them murderers no one gets offended and reports my posts?
That's one of the reasons why I hate religion; under any circumstance ideologies that call for things like murder would be attacked, but as soon as atrocious teachings are part of a religion they have to be protected and it's "bigoted" to even just criticize them... 🙄

It's best not to attack people's beliefs. I don't agree with Islam myself but I don't post about it. The best policy is if it's going to offend people then don't post it.

@HairbrushDiva Not at all. It makes me feel satisfied to have given them new information that they can use to better serve themselves and their communities. I don't consider it manipulation because I don't consider the tactics I use to be dishonest.

@BlueVeins Manipulation isn't necessarily dishonest. I form the impression that you think you have the right to tell people how they should or shouldn't think. You think they must agree with you in order to better serve themselves and their communities. Who are you to make these decisions?

@HairbrushDiva I have the right to advise people on stuff and they have a right to either accept or reject my advice, just as others have the right to do so for me. I base my conviction that my advice is helpful on empirical evidence and the most credible news reporting I can find. A logical argument will not always yield correct results, but it's the best we've got as people.

It’s foolish to say both those things. Why you’re getting a slanted response - I can’t say.

But you’re always going to get a negative reaction if you’re writing posts in a way that puts you at odds with a demographic of people, just because that’s how you get your fix. If you post hate, expect hate back.
