Who made the material for the big bang to occur? Someone had to create that.

@Harl3y100 In that case, who created that someone? Then, who created whatever created that someone, and so on ad infinitum?

@Sharon God makes the claim that He always existed. Not in time and space but eternity. No one was there at the beginning and this argument about evidence will continue.
Sharon · F
@Harl3y100 Then there's no reason to believe the singularity that expanded to form the universe had to be created. It always existed although, as spacetime began with its inflation, the term "always" becomes meaningless.

@Sharon I’m not concerned that I can’t understand it right now. God understands it. That’s good enough for me.

@Harl3y100 Ah, the old "goddidit" bolt hole and typical christian double standard. No surprises there. :(

@Sharon ok. 👍

@Harl3y100 I can understand why it would be easy to think that however it is possible that the universe was spontaneously generated from literally nothing.
Sharon · F
@GerOttman Whatever explanation is offered for the origin of "god" can just be applied to the universe instead, thus rendering the god hypothesis redundant.
