Okay. Here's the argument you want edgelord....and vidi well little brother because I usually don't give ants much time beneath my boots.

Yaweh, jehovah, god, the one written about in the Torah does in no uncertain terms exist!

Pay attention, if you're half as smart as you want to be, you'll catch on......

If we play the devil's advocate to start. And say that the creation of life, the earth, the heavens and all that we know was a chance encounter, luck of the draw type mixture of things in the air. God still exist.

If we can look to the past briefly, for thousands of years, people have known of the entity; God (with a capital g). The words ascribed to him and the ideology that he represents, are very much known in every continent and most every language spoken by homo sapiens. The "teachings" and moral code of God are followed by countless people today as well as people of the world throughout those aforementioned thousands of years.

God very much does exist, even if God is simply an idea created by man, or man's dream or any other force that drives civilization.

The very fact that you know the word and the concept is as much proof of existence as a y possible argument against something. The fact that you spend so much of your own energy disproving God, is proof of God's pull on your own existence. And even if that's just an idea.....an idea is a very real and powerful thing.

Your opinion is not proof. One can say the same about any god or mythical being with equal validity.

@Sharon your point is.....?
Sharon · F
@Notanymore It's clear enough. Simply saying your god exists is not proof that it actually does. Consider this, The Flying Spaghetti Monster most certainly does live. There, by your argument I've just proven it.

@Sharon i respect your opinion......and your beliefs....may I ask you a question?

You just have. Ask another if you like.

@Emosaur Half the months are named after deities too.
Notanymore · 36-40, M
@Sharon thank you. Have you said "I love you" to anyone lately?
Sharon · F
@Notanymore Yes, to my husband.
Notanymore · 36-40, M
@Sharon awesome! Please don't take this the wrong way....just rhetorical.....did you mean it?
Sharon · F
@Notanymore Of course. What's your point?
Notanymore · 36-40, M
@Sharon science has proven that love is a psychological reaction that causes us to release chemicals in our brains eliciting a physical and emotional reaction. It's a very real thing though not a physical thing. If the ideology behind God, can release the same sort of reaction in people who have never met or seen god....would that not make God as real as love?
As for ancient deities. Yes. They're existence was very real to people. In the same circumstances.
My understanding of your little spaghetti monster.....it's a simple stand in for people that choose to not believe. And that's quite inconsequential to me as well. Though, some of the practices are admirable.
Sharon · F
@Notanymore Chemicals are real, physical, things. A belief in a mythical being might cause the release of such chemicals but it doesn't make the mythical being real.

The Flying Spaghetti Monster is just as real (or otherwise) as any other deity or mythical being. If christian want non-believer in their god to prove it doesn't exist then, by the same token, it is for them to prove The Flying Spasghetti Monster doesn't exist unless, of course, they accept that It does.

@Sharon love isn't a chemical.
So, by your argument love isn't real either
@Notanymore I don't give a shit if love is a chemical or not, it's awesome. unlike your god.
Sharon · F
@Notanymore
So, by your argument love isn't real either
It's not a real physical thing, it's a state of mind - just like the christian god in a way.
Notanymore · 36-40, M
@BetweenKittensandRiots why does it have to be my god. Did I once imply that ? A d welcome to the conversation. Wait your turn, or I'll get lost.
Notanymore · 36-40, M
@Sharon so.....it's a state of mind?......you think you love your husband?
Sharon · F
@Notanymore I know I do, that's the state of mind.
Notanymore · 36-40, M
@Sharon does not compute.....it's real or it's something you think. In my opinion.
Sharon · F
@Notanymore A state of mind is real but not physical.
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
@Notanymore So you're saying "God" exists in the same way that, say, "Sherlock Holmes" exists?
Sharon · F
@DunningKruger Good point!
Notanymore · 36-40, M
@DunningKruger not exactly.....but I don't think you'll get what I'm saying

@Sharon where did the material for the Big Bang come from? Who made that?
