I’d forgotten how good winter nights are for stargazing.
I was walking home from a friend’s house, over crunchy frosted grass and I realised the sky was completely clear. I saw planets and constellations my Dad used to show me.
I think I saw a satellite too, a slow moving light without the blinky recognition lights you get from an airliner, it passed south over the sea and faded away - I presume as it passed into the earths shadow.
