I took the family to the Imperial War Museum at Duxford today. We watched the flying and went for a walk around the hangar exhibits

These aren’t great pics but my two daughters got in the better ones and I keep those off SW. The kids were fascinated watching the wing walkers prepare for next week’s airshow. My youngest now wants to be a wing walker when she grows up. It’ll change again next week.

A modified two seater spitfire offering flights to those with £2k to spare.

A later mark Avro Lancaster.

A Sea Harrier that had previously seen combat

A North Africa campaign Spitfire

A Messerschmitt 109 that ditched in a field in England mid Battle Of Britain.

Up close and personal with an SR71 Blackbird.

A B17G Flying Fortress.

And a chilling and poignant peace of the World Trade Centre

And to cheer us up, a nice bit of tail…so to speak
