Does anyone still believe
that the arts and the humanities are of any use? I seek for some stability in my life, but somehow I've defended the corner of just that thought for decades now on here or in real life without any result. Except from the one or two friends on here, the most that my postings on classical music or art begets near to no recognition nor acknowledgement. Nothing. I really can't win.
I post about the high and low points in my life and someone tells me point blanc to take my pills. Likewise I get a simular flippant remark or even question when I post a little essay on a piece of music or something else. It's way too difficult to read, or it's merely AI-driven. Does near to no-one actually still believe in conversation?
I get the strong impression that it's all about flippant or even hurting remarks, destruction in short, than anything constructive. What are the arts and the humanities about but to converse with each other to further knowledge?
