People forget the utmost brutality the Ottomans inflicted. Especially on their Christian minorities. They were every bit colonizers like the Spaniards.

@BritishFailedAesthetic just finished it. That was really interesting. I guess it was just one singular event in Icelandic history by two groups of pirates. The one in your video was the second group from Algiers. Thank you for posting it.

@BritishFailedAesthetic there are many accounts of it but most of them lie untranslated. I want to ask my Da about it this weekend. He was born in Iceland. I’m guessing they might have learned about it in school.
