Another Dark Poem
The Longest Train
I wander through the hurting noise.
Children laughing, people waving.
Grown adults still play with toys.
Rewards for your slaving.
To walk for so long.
This fog around my neck, a collar.
They tell me I’m strong.
When I’ve never felt smaller.
Gun to the skull goes bang.
With a Christmas tree below the ceilings.
Like Kurt once sang.
It’s okay to eat fish ‘cause they don’t have any feelings.
