I don’t understand how people can separate an artist from their art.

I’ve been lucky enough to have never liked a musician that had “accusations” against them… until Marilyn Manson. I loved that man 😭 I understand the concept of “innocent until proven guilty” but as a person who has dealt with SA throughout their childhood, it hurts a bit. Having been such a huge fan for most of my life, I felt betrayed. I suppose if you never dealt with that abuse, it’s easier to separate the music. All it does for me now is make me think of my own abuse.
