@Tumbleweed depends on the fish, if they're a shoaling fish then yes, definitely.

But even some aggressive fish like bettas will get lonely, and will want company from other species of fish, or even just their human owner.
But individual personality of the fish also plays a factor.
some will befriend tankmates, others will try to kill their tankmates

They can also get depressed if bored and under stimulated

@Ducky Yes. they sleep all the time, they just don't look like they're sleeping because they don't have eyelids, hence, can't close their eyes.

they just kinda sit there and zone out 🤔

they like to have little leaf beds near the surface of the water to take breaths of air, and also make bubble nests 🥹

when I still had my beta, he used to like to sleep near the tank heater on colder nights
